Caught this monster on Lake Sonoma with an Alabama Rig. It weighted 6.73 lbs and was the kicker fish for a 5 fish bag which went 19.51 lbs.

I caught a 5.26lb large mouth bass on a crank bait.

Bassmaster VII ended a dead drawl. The records is now 2-2-2 with one no contest.

Fishing my 2nd tournament of the year for the local club on Lake Sonoma, we got on fish early and rode it to a 5 fish limit with 14.53lbs for 3rd place.    

 

Bassmaster IV,V,VI as we like to call it a fishing duel between brothers, came to an eventful end with a 5 pound fish coming unhooked in the last hour.     The 3 days of fishing ended in the same fashion they started a drawl.   The record is now 2-2-1, with Bassmaster V ending in a no-contest. 

 

After Bassmaster II, I made Tommy watch a video of Rick Clunn working a popper.   Big mistake.  Tommy’s first 5 casts, he had 2 fish in the boat.   Tommy ended up catching 4 fish, I caught one tiny bass, which may have not made 13 inches.   Anyways, now the series is nodded up at 1-1-1, till next time.    

 

 

 

Sunday ABA Touranment, we caught 16.64lbs of fish.   I caugh these two totalling 7lbs.   We finished in 21 place.    We had 5 fish bites and put 5 fish in the boat.

 

This fishing battle ended in a two fish tie.

I went night fishing with Steve to pre-fish for the upcoming club tournament.    For the second straight time on Clear Lake I had a 5+ lb fish break away right at the boat.   Had we been fishing the tournament it would have been in the net, but the time to try and grab the fish without the net gave it the change to break away.   I caught 3 Largemouth Bass in the 2 lb range on jigs and 2 on texas rigs in the 1-2lb range.   The one that broke away was caught on a drop shot.   The pre-fish wasn’t successful enough to win a tournament but it was a good experience.    No trophy, no picture.
