Welcome to Nicaragua
Nicaragua is the homeland of Andrea's Grandpa. We took a tour from Costa Rica. It was about a 3 hour bus trip. Nicaragua was much poorer then Costa Rica. It suffered from had multiple civil wars, which kept the economy unstable. It's a big producer of sugar cane and tabacco.

Bobadilla Cross
This is an active volcano. We climbed to the top of the hill. To look down. The cross was erected in the 18th century, as the Spanish thought the Volcano was the openning to hell.

The girl in Granada selling rattles, followed our tour group around untill people boughted her rattles. They cost about $1.

One of the stops was the cultural center which houses Nicaraguan art. The building was a spanish Monisterri.
