Day 8 - Sunday
The Peninsula Bangkok
Sunday was our first full day in Bangkok. In Bangkok we chose to stay at The Peninsula. The hotel was right on the river and had beautiful view of the city.
Room
Our room at The Peninsula was amazing, it had a mini-office, living room, bedroom and 1 1/2 bathrooms. It was on
10th floor overlooking the river.
Trip to the Market
After check-in on Saturday. We asked the hotel concierge where to go. They gave us a few recommendations. One of there
recommendations was the Sunday market at Chatuchak Park. In order to get there we took a ferry to the sky train station and
rode two sky trains.
Ferry Ride
The hotel provides the ferry boat. One the ferry ride we saw these little boats pulling multiple barges.
Sky Train
The sky train is similar to the subway system in New York, only the track is 4 stories above ground.
Chatuchak Market
The Chatuchak Market is huge. You can get everything, food, souvenirs, antiques. We walked through the shops for over two
hours.
